Three High Precision Watches for Special Assignments

Lucky Web Find Re-discovery

"Three High Precision Watches for Special Assignments" is of course easily recognizable to Omega collectors, if for no other reason than the title is shared with the well-known web article by Bill Sohne. Bill explains in the article that the title was lifted from a period sales brochure, but having never had the good fortune to actually see the booklet when I found it I thought I'd put it here to share.

The 1959 brochure outlines the features and details of Omega's famous "Big Three" series of tool watches at the time, the Seamaster 300 Ref. CK 2913, the Railmaster ref. CK 2914, and Speedmaster Ref. 2915, all first released in 1957. These three watches were among the first watches by a major brand marketed as "tool" watches to the general public.

There are also short paragraphs describing some features shared among the three specialized models - the Naiad Crown, O-ring case gaskets, and the Armored Glass crystals.
